British Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, who visited Ethiopia on Wednesday, said on a press release that he is satisfied with the condition of Andargachew Tsige, a British national and secretary general of Ginbot 7, a group labeled as a terrorist organization by the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), and is currently under custody in Ethiopia since July 2014.

Lidetu Ayalew, the founder and the longest-serving president of the Ethiopian Democratic Party (EDP), rose to prominence in Ethiopia’s opposition politics during the highly contested 2005 general elections.
